My names Billy and I figured I would share my explorer and tell a little about it. Pops bought this brand new back in 92. After countless miles all over the US in the backseat of this car, it was given to me when I got my license and survived me through high school and college. Got my first job, and “that old explorer” had to go, so pops took it back. He drove it on and off over the years, and it started to show its age and he got tired of spending money for it to sit most of the time. He had toyed with the idea of getting rid of it but just couldn’t bring himself to do it so he kept it. Well this last winter, the starter went out on it (original one I might add,) and it was just reason he needed to let it go. Well, like I said...
Im a newer member, and figured i should post some pic's of the beast. its a 92 explode'r. has 81K miles. it was my wife's parents when she grew up. then her dad sold it to her grandfather. and i bought it from him so she would have a decent winter beater since her car is in storage pretty much half the year. the body is pretyy much prestine, not even any scratch's. but the lower trim panels are like cheese. but just those! fenders, hatch, everything else is like brand new. even the interior with not even a stain, or discolor. kinda wierd. but owell. (hood is popped in the pic) fixing snapped spark plug. if you can help in any way with that, id be more then greatful! my big hope, is to find a mazda navajo in a...
well, ive been a member for a few month's, and plan to stick around so i figured id add my truck to the registry. its a 92. i actually got it for free, but it hadnt been driven in a few years, so ive allready put about 2000 bux into the pile. this is what it looked like when i first got it. ive been frequenting the local junk yard, and pillaging part's as ive found them. this is some of the things ive been doing recently. painted the stock rims black, and left the lip unpainted for the race truck look. lol instead of waisting my money on the KKM intake set up, i bought a 5.0 MAF housing from my local junk yard, and a cone filter, and intake adapter from the local auto store. total cost, LESS THEN $35...

(I'm Xavier) Hey all. Sort of new here. I drive an Emerald Green 1993 Ford Explorer (93 is the model year, it was actually assembled in November 1992, so the truck is older than me by several months). It has the Eddie Bauer package and 2-wheel drive. I bought it used last year in December and it currently has 97,000+ miles on it. I recently had the transmission and O2 sensor replaced and I use it as a daily. Here's a photo: The photo was taken a couple weeks ago. In the time between it and now, the front left wheel center cover fell off so the center is now black. It has 2WD, which is fine since I don't off-road, but I would have liked the Limited's AWD or a simple 4x4 just in case I ever have to drive through rough road...
