Offroad Projects

I did a search on this because I didnt wanna start an unnecessary thread, so i searched on the T-5 and Atlass trannies because I've been curious with everyone talking about them. I didnt find exactly what I wanted though, so maybe somebody can help. So...What is the main difference between the two? Which is better for what? What is the availability? How much $$$$? I've been wanting to know, because I'm sort of expanding my horizons and getting into stuff in the drivetrain and all sorts of other important parts. Thanks alot guys, ~Grant

I have a 92 Explorer and I'm thinking about doing a axle conversion. I was curious if any of you out there know everything that I need and what I can expect? Any info would be great.

I own a 1996 Eddie Bauer 4x4 and I'm interested in replacing my 4.0 V6 w/ a V8...Any Idea what the preferred engine would be? What could I fit under my hood? Any ballpark guess of the cost? Thanks So much! Take Care!

Has anyone tried to put a 351 in their explorer? If so give me some info on the difficulty of this project, cause im tired of being passed by pathfinders and other jap 250 hp machines. Tony 91 Sport

has anyone actually done a t5 swap ?How much did it cost? I really want to step up to a nicer transmision. p.s does somebody make an adapter for this swap

Has anyone tried to simplifie the electric shift motor(push button ting) to somekind of manual override. I was tinking of someting that does not go by the control module, that I could flip a switch and go to 4x4low directly. I know a manual transfer case exist, but where to find it(neerly impossible) so I would like to keep the electric motor and do someting that ressemble to manual t-case.
