Performance Lighting

Aftermarket lighting. Driving lights, fog lights, rock lights, HID, halogen. Make your Ford Explorer light up the night!!
You might have read on here that I wanted to put lights next to my license plate and have them turn on when I switch the headlights on. After about two seperate days, I finished the project. No, I was not working on it all day. One day it just got to dark to see and I only built the bracket. The only problem that I ran into was the fact that there was very, very, very little room to get to the parking light turn on lead. Once I did get my hand and tools in there, the turn on lead was pulled very tight and I had to make small extension off of them. I bought the light set at AutoZone. However, it did take extra parts to make this work. The entire project cost just under $100. Some stuff I paid to much for but I did not...
I originally bought these LEDs to make some custom fog lights buy bought HIDs instead:) So I was bored tonight and came up with these. These LEDs are 10mm 10000mcd hyper whites. Anyway, these took me about two hours tonight and I wanted to show them off. THey are alot brighter than the camera makes them out to be because of the light compensation. Now I just have to make them fit in my mirrors. The soldering job is terrible because I had no flux, bot oh well--it will be fine with the little current they draw. I have about 1000 of these and I am now working on some 6x9 driving lights.
Alright guys, I finally found a person that has headlights and I bought them. So now I need to put in the bulbs. I was looking around for the bulbs and all I could find was the slyvanna, and I am not looking to buy those. So I was wondering what kind you guys put in yours. What type do you own? How much of a diffrence did they make? Where can I buy them? Any other brands to suggest? Thanks!! :)
I just realized I spelled brake wrong!!! OOPS I have my strobing brake light module on the way I really can't wait! The braker controller module will make your LED brake lights strobe brightly at 10 flashes per second for two seconds every time you hit the brakes. After 2 seconds the lights stays bright as long as your foot is on the brake. I can't wait! I can't upload anything to photobucket to give you a heads up. Photobucket is broken:( Here is the YouTube link take a look at what they look like! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17l9ZUwdvZY
I kinda weenied out and paid a pro to do this for me. Really, after pricing out the materials against having it done for me, it made sense. There was also the risk of making a bad cut, or ruining them some other way. 55watt hid's with the low/high solenoid. High quality parts used. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqJk7KNEbFk
me and a buddy got to talking today about tailgaters and how to keep them off your @$$ and we came up with away that we think works great in day and night mount a mointry on switch and wire it into the brake likes so that you look like your braking when your not what do you guys think i dont know if anyons done this yet if so how has it worked out for you and if no ones done it yet if theres a bunch of people wanting to see it done and how it works out ill do it and let every one know what the results are
anyone use these, anyone have an opinion about them? i think they sound like a cool idea, but not if they are going to perform substantially worse than the 980s or the pro90s please let me know what you think. or if you know of another company that makes a comparable light please bring that to my attention. edit- heres a pic and info The Driving lamp is Plasma Ion Yellow 55watt=85watt. The spot lamp is Xtreme White 55watt=110watt. The Marker lamp is a Plasma Blue 5watt wedge bulb. The housing is black cast aluminum and has a steel mounting base. PIAA departs from its dual lamp technology by introducing this triple lamp system. 12V - H3 55watt=85watt Ion Crystal Driving Bulb; 12V - H3 55watt=110watt Xtreme White Spot Bulb...
Almost done with this project, so I figured I'd post a few pics... I'm using a Morimoto Mini D2S, Gatling Gun shrouds and a couple of LED halo rings. The next part is to replace the side markers with LED arrays and add another LED array for to the side marker for turn signal. Everything off: White LED ring as parking lights. The ring is mounted facing backwards, to refelect into the reflector bowl: Orange LED as additional turn signal: Both sets of LEDs on:

Hey there everyone! I've been wanting to post about these HID lights i picked up about a week ago, but I figured I'd give em a bit of a trial run before I might end up having to post a "never mind, these are P.O.S. waste of $", but after a mind numbingly SIMPLE plug n play install, and having them be up front taking the first hits :D and fearlessly lighting the way for my offroad adventuring that has my poor '02 looking like a badly abused war wagon, rather than the DD that it so badly wants to continue as, I would have to say that I think I've finally gotten a quality product at a smokin price. I stumbled on a posting on my local CL for "HID $50", so, naturally i clicked on it. I ended up talking to a guy in Coeur d'Alene, Id., who...
Here's my idea... I don't want my front end cluttered, and there's not enough room for 4 lights on my brushguard, so what do y'all think of 3 lights? I know it looks different at first, but I like being different and the look is growing on me. I would have the outside ones being 100W fogs and the inner one will be a 130W driving. I figure when those 3 + high beams + factory fogs are on, I would pretty much be able to light up any nasty situation (off road of course). Anyway, opinions? (What the heck you thinking, Brett you're on crack, i like it, etc... all are appropriate responses) Here's 4 lights, but I think this looks too cluttered and it would involve welding tabs to the brush guard.
