This is the official ET/MPH list. PM me any relevant info on your run, aka time slips and videos. Also list your mods, try and follow the format you see below. If you dont have the time to follow the format, ill organize your info, but any help is appreciated.

Suggestions are welcomed. We will use only vehicles relevant to this forum. I only used 1/8th on my personal run because I have not hit the 1/4 yet, but send what you have.

Ah I see, no runs with it like that yet then, AWD in the way.

Yeah, I have made a few runs as it was a little faster, I picked up around a 1/4 of a second, but I think that was mostly due to all of the weight that was removed.
 






Cool will gain even more of that when that transfer case goes. Also it removed a lot and you still have more rotating mass that will be gone!
 






Went to the track ran the suv for a good laugh, all stock with a drop in k&N. Weight with the passenger riding shotgun was 4620 on the scale. 2001 5.0 This pretty much made up my mind to not mod it as it would need some serious cash invested just to hang with any average now a day v6 family sedan. Mabye a nice stereo in its future instead lol.

there has to be a reason for being that slow..... Mines not much more than stock and its a good bit faster than that :scratch:
 






The tune up condition makes a big difference. Mine was over 18 seconds the first time that I tested it. He just needs to do some maintenance, then the other stuff will catch his attention.
 






id say do a full tune up and clean ur MAF and such, then throw on an exhaust and get a programmer from hensonperformance.com to go with your K&N, and u will see substantial gains out of ur X ^_^

Speaking of humidity, it's a humid **** right now!!! Darn near hit 100 degrees today and I work outside:( I really don't plan on racing until the fall. I want cooler temps and a lower DA.
 






So you guys are saying it should be quite a bit quicker then that stock? I had a 140lb passenger which I guess lost .2th or so but other then that truck runs like a top I do not think it is capable of running much faster then that I just don't see it hapening. I am basing my info from watching the video on that tq monster header web site where there's went like 17.4 stock to 17.0 with the header so I thought I was about where i am supose to be?

If you guys say it's capable of running faster times I will give it a tune up and re-evaluate.

Went to the track again tonight. Crap hot and humid weather, but I still improved a bit.

8.25 1/8
82.96 mph 1/8
13.02 1/4
102.62 mph 1/4

I backed it up with a 13.05 but just couldn't manage a 12 anything.
Oh so close this time!
 






This fall when you go back, I bet you will be hitting 12.8's with ease:) Keep it up!!!

I went back to the track this time with no 140lb passenger and I also removed the spare tire, and jack stuff. I also switched out the spark plugs and used some royal purple oil. The times dropped pretty good I was happy with the improvment. The truck is stock with 117k on it.

Unfortinatly the explorer will remain stock I already have one car that sap's up all my cash flow. I might get a tune for it and exhaust but other then that it will stay stock I got it to have a vechicle that flys under the radar from police and gets me from a to z comfortable. I just too it tot the track for fun as my other car is being a pain lately.

Get an intake, exhaust and a tune and id bet you would be pretty happy with the gains. Very well suited for a peppy daily driver ^_^
