Mock-Up complete, now to Hot Glue this puppy together, and mount to the floor/wheel wells.

For a supposed "bolt-in" kit there where several thing left to be desired, I still had to whip out the 14" chop saw ans cut pieces to the correct length, and used the belt sander on a lot of parts with flash on them.

I will also have to fab a swing out/removable top bar for the doors.

Stay tuned, and we'll finish this up, and move on to some other stuff.

Kinda kills the need for a back seat! Will it go back in or are there plans to cover the area and leave the seat out?

Mike, back seats will go back in, but, unless your under 3 years of age I don't think anyone will be sitting back there.

Jon, she is not the customer, please take note, it's a S197 (2005-09), not an SN95 (1999-04) ;)

And did someone say margarita's?!?!?!?!?!??!?! :shifty_ey

Measure out where all the sleeves are going and mark them:

Time to disassemble the whole cage and clean all the parts to "Hot Glue" them together:

Run pilot holes for the foot pads on the cage:

The side exhaust has to be removed, so as the main hoop can be bolted down:

Then tack the front hoop in place:

Disassemble front hoop and start sticking it together

The best part is the fire blanket makes you feel like you have been naked flopping around in an attic full of pink insulation *scratch, itch, scratch, scratch, itch*

And I'm not the most limber kind of guy either so climbing around in it is not too easy.

The big bummer was running out of mix, going into town and getting another bottle, getting home finding out it was empty then driving back, what a wasted 50 miles, and about an hours worth of time at 11mpg in the truck.

Sorry for the delay in this, we had a loss in the family that led to some time to contemplate things.

Finally coming together

Thanx Sam!

Jeff, you should make the rear glass into a liftgate for ease of getting into the back seat on that thing. Lemme know when the shop clears up so I can sent over your next project.
