So, how do you open it? I know how I open mine.....

But I'd be interested in know how you did it...

Well i flipped the t handle. But to get the glass open i had to make my own mechanism to open the window, by using the key lock. I had to put a spring on it to take some of the tension off. I think it works pretty good.

Well I wouldn't say I lost any function. Sure its a change to open it, but it takes the same or less to open the hatch. As far as the wiper goes... I never really used it any way.. Even on my 2002 explorer I rarely use it.

Why not look into using electric actuators? They can be had very cheap, then you can shave the lock too.

I have looked into it actually, im saving up for a trans swap so i ruled it out.. but eventually thats most likely what ill do.

idk it makes it to plain and harder to open(you need a key now?) but to each his own

I have my glass on a pull solenoid to open. If I need to get in the back, I will pop the glass, reach in and twist the T-handle.

EASY!

Eventually when i have some money to put into my truck Ill get a pull solenoid and Eliminate the key hole too. Right know i have to deal with a broke intake bolt.
