frankodrums ~ Nice Explorer and Mustang. Anything under the hood of her?? Looks like our colors are reversed (my Mustang is black and my Explorer is red). I am thinking about putting some '04 Cobra rims on my Explorer in the future. I'd personally go with a black grill. Also a shorty antenna from a Mustang will fit the Explorers. I put the stock black antenna off my Mustang on my Explorer.

Nice Rims , where did u get them !

Thanks! I bought them off a member here a while back and they are Boss Motorsport 306 20x8.5 with 275/45/20's on them. They are no longer made, so it's a matter of finding them for sale. The closest I have found in style are:

There is another brand that carries something similar as well, but I don't remember it right now.

Thank you INSPECTOR13 !! Nope I haven't done anything under the hood yet , but I just ordered a new set of headlights and a 13 inch antenna , hopefully warms up a little so I can work on it and post some pictures , yo should post pictures of the explorer and mustang :)

Looks good.

Nice truck...Lots of good pics in the article too. I've seen that truck before and always wondered what his setup was. Looks like he might still have the rear axles going through the frame hoops, and he's definitely still using stock upper and lower control arms in the back. Front looks like stock spindles with custom upper and lower arms. That and some super tall shock hoops in front and back :)

Heres my 2003 v8 limited. Recently needed to replace the tyres for rego so was tossing up going for some mud tyres on it for off roading or some big wheels just for on road duties. Since i already have a patrol for offroad duties and mrs wasnt keen on getting the explorer scratched up we went with a nice set of 22's. What you think.

I think it looks nice but the exhaust pipe looks weird to me, looks like a ricer muffler

I know what you mean but looking form behind its actually a twin magnaflow muffler so looks nothing like a hotdog found on ricers. It was on the car when i bought it and wont be changing it no need to.

new user advice

hay everyone im new member. but got allot of good advice from the site finally decided to sign up. i got a 2005 ford explorer i put 265 bf all terrain tires, HID, super 40 flowmaster, everything looks great on the car but i want to put running boards not sure to but the flush plastic ones or metal ones that stick out a little, and i average around 11 mpg if anyone knows how to make that better i know a cold air intake. where can i get the best price for one. and also might ad a roof rack but if do it would be just for looks don't know if its worth it.
