Try a battery disconnect for 15-20 mins.

You don't need any tools just remove the blue connector on the positive side. You press down on the connectors tab at the top and pull towards you. Its a quick disconnect.

I have an iPhone 5s running iOS8 as well as the new 6plus. Both are functioning fine on my '15 Explorer with MFT. Try clearing all Bluetooth connections from your phone shut down and restart your iPhone and then re-pair to your Explorer.

IPhone 5s, ios 8. 2014 X It worked well right after the update but today I had a few problems where MFT would not recognize my phone and did not automatically start playing. I restarted my phone and it went back to normal.

My iphone 6 connects fine, however, when I make a call, there is no sound... Also, when I get a call, I get a ring or two, and then the EX says the call has ended...

Has anyone tried calling? It's connected and auto connects but no sound comes through... IOS8 and Iphone 6...

Bluetooth music works fine, but the calling is more important.

A 5s and Samsung S5 works perfectly...

Ford told me to do a master reset via the MFT screen... THis solved it for me...

Hey everyone,

If a master reset doesn't correct your issue, Apple posted some troubleshooting steps for Bluetooth connection issues. Here's the link:

Ford tried to help me but it didn't work... As an FYI, does Ford have this (also on the same Apple page you recommended...)

AVRCP 1.4 Bluetooth compatibility.

FWIW, the pairing works, so does reconnect, it just doesn't hold a phone call for more than a few seconds, or come through the cars speakers...

The iphone 5S I had with ios8 worked fine... Going back to a Samsung Note 3 and it works fine...

I'm sure many are working, but it is a known issue with the wireless carriers...

Complaints on 'bendy' iPhone, software bugs dog Apple

..nice brick you have there...

http://news.yahoo.com/complaints-bendy-iphone-software-bugs-dog-apple-192304279.html

Washington (AFP) - Apple released and then abruptly pulled back an update for the iOS software powering the iPhone on Wednesday after users complained of bugs, including one that disabled cellular service.

The apparently botched update came after a rash of complaints posted on social media about the reportedly fragile body on some of the large-screen iPhones which went on sale last week.

Apple released a tweak to its iOS 8 operating system, called iOS 8.0.1, but then pulled the software after complaints that the update disabled cellular service and Apple's touch-identification system.

Apple did not respond to an AFP query. But in a statement to the news website TechCrunch, Apple said: "We have received reports of an issue with the iOS 8.0.1 update. We are actively investigating these reports and will provide information as quickly as we can. In the meantime we have pulled back the iOS 8.0.1 update."

The news caused further embarrassment to Apple after some users posted comments about bends in the bodies of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus when carried in trouser pockets.

On the MacRumors forum of Apple users, one iPhone buyer noted that, after carrying the handset in a front pocket for 18 hours, "I saw the reflection of the window in the iPhones slightly distorted."

The user posted a picture of the bent iPhone, and dozens posted similar complaints on Twitter.

Apple said Monday it sold more than 10 million of the new smartphones in the first three days since launching in a handful of countries, setting a new record for opening weekend sales.

The new iPhones were launched Friday in the United States, Britain, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico and Singapore.

They will be available in more than 20 additional countries on September 26, and 115 countries by the end of the year.

Samsung meanwhile said Wednesday it was launching its oversized Galaxy Note smartphone earlier than expected, getting into the key Chinese market ahead of Apple.

I apologize for my confusion, Eticket, but are you asking if SYNC supports AVRCP 1.4? If so, the answer is yes. :)

I apologize for my confusion... The pairing works fine, the issue is it doesn't work when paired... It wont call, it wont answer, and SYNC can't dial out...

Everything else (Samsung's, etc...) work without a hitch... The iphone 6 does not for me... And I have gone through both Ford and Apple support... To me, it's a problem, and recent news reports on IOS8 tend to bear this out.

As I said, I know it works for some, and for some of us, it doesn't

Thanks for your time and help...
