Delivery Tomorrow 2016 Platinum Black/Black

Any tips/thoughts as I go to pick up my Platinum Explorer tomorrow? It has 31 miles, they got it from a dealer just west of us. I assume it will have latest Syn updates etc. I'm psyched to go get it, but have a lot of stuff to take out of my trade in 2012 Limited before I go there at lunch.

Congrats! The dealership that we bought our Platinum from took the time to walk my wife through all of the many features of the new car and how the options worked. They paired her phone for her and installed the nav data SD card. They spent a lot of time with her. So, if it is a good dealership, plan to be there a little while.

You don't appear to be a first timer taking delivery of a new vehicle, but a thorough walk around is must (even test drive to ensure there are nothing out of the norm).

Thanks guys...yeah, not a first-timer here at 55. I worked in my Dad's dealership as a kid and sold Toyotas for a year in the 80's. When we used to do dealer trades the trading dealer would try and slip stuff by you like taking the jack and the user manuals from the car, or the mats etc so I'll be vigilant.

It's about to pour rain here of course, but they scheduled the delivery indoors which is great. I did a cursory walk-around of the car when I was finalizing some details there yesterday- looked gorgeous. I did get a pic of the interior mirror as I need to determine which Blendmount will work for my Escort Passport...for now it will go on the windshield with cups I guess (whcih is what I do when I rent a car). Also ordered new ProClip mount for my Android Note 5 onto the left center A/C vent. I mount an Iphone 6 on the dash with a ==n Iotty mount and run Waze on there on trips.

I did geta very good demo of many new features on my test drive...they had me actually perpendicular park with the park assist and showed me the lane departure...demoed front and back cameras etc. Most of the others I've watched the Help Videos and YouTube demos of.

What version should the MFT be on please?

I believe on the MFT screen the software will show something like 3.08.15128 EA10_Product.

Went great...turned out the payoff on my 2012 was ~$600 less that I thought so payment dropped ~$10. The Platnum Ex is awesome and I'm loving the Black on Black.

Pictures of a new car in the rain are the best. I had a picture of my antique car in the rain, and one of the vendors used it for the cover photo of their catalog.
