289 FIA Competition Cobra
Here's my ERA Cobra replica parked on the grass outside the building where I first started working at Ford over 30 years ago.

Car is powered by a Weber carbed BOSS 351 Cleveland engine with a solid lifter camshaft. This car has won "Best Cobra Replica" at 2 National Shelby Conventions. It is painted Mustang Laser Red with White Pearl stripes.

It took me nearly 2 years to build this baby, but it was worth every minute. I have a lot of fun with it, on the street, the track, and the car show circuit. It's a dream come true for me.
So I hear the Cobras were able to take a 90 degree turn at 90mph. Fact of Myth?

Xploder -

I did that once on a track in my Pantera - haven't tried it yet with the Cobra. If any other car could do it, the Cobra would certainly be the one.

On street tires they will generate nearly 1G of side force, on race tires, over 1G. It'll corner, accelerate, and brake hard enough to make you toss your breakfast.

Definately an old design, but a timeless one that elicits smiles and "thumbs up" signs wherever you go.
