99 XLS- I still can't open the Damn Hood!

Take the grille out, then unbolt the hood latch mechanism. Thats what I had to do on my '91. Then I just put on a set of hood pins.

you could do that if it was an older model but the 96 and up require the hood to be open to remove the grill great idea though........im thinking you will need to take it to a body shop or maybe just go talk to a body shop and get some ideas (if they will give them to you)

Yep, add me to the 'hood stuck shut' list. I think we should get a group purchase going on an attorney to sue an engineer.

For a while I was thinking this was sabotoge by the dealer mechanics I last visited, but I see it's not just my truck. I'm going out to assess my own situation. Csmicfool...I feel your pain.

Okay, without hydraulic assistance, that hood ain't moving. Add a nail in a tire to my list of problems.
