Whats size tires are you running? What do you plan to do rocks, mud, trails, etc?

i will be running 33s or 35 trail and rocks

If 33's I would say 4.10's.. if 35's I would go lower(4.56/4.88?). Not sure on the mileage, but I would guess 12-15mpg. You may also need do get a speedo calibration, but that depends what the stock gearing is, and what your going to along with tire size.

4.56 and 33's are perfect --- 4.88 and 35s are perfect! 4.10 is usually for 32's. If you want a lot of low end, go to a higher gear, but remember your top end will suffer from it.

i have 4.56 and 32"s heheheh

city milage : 17.7

Highway milage : 10 hahah

if you plan on running 33"S on the street and 35"s offroad then you probably would like to go with 4.56, since it seems to work the best of both worlds there.

19 tooth speedo gear with 4.56 and 32"S has put my speedo ~3 miles over then my actual speed. So 33"s would probably set it exact, not sure just a hunch.

I have a set of 31x10.5 BFG's on my stock lift 92 X. I have 3.27 gears in the front and rear. What vehicals should i be looking at for better gears??? I was thinking a set of 3.73 gears.Did any X's or Ranger's come with 3.73 in the front diff????I was also thinking of doing the rear shackles and F-150 spring seats up front for a better 4x4 look.

ok with that all know what how should i go about gettin it done. i think 4.56 will be good but how is the highway speed and rpms.

with 4.56 and 32"s... these are all pretty close to what my actual tach reads.

4th gear

45mph @ 2200 rpm

55mph @ 2900 rpm

5th gear

55mph @ 2300 rpm

65mph @ 2850 rpm

75mph @ 3300 rpm

33"s would probably bring all that down by ~1500-3000 rpm

i have what you kneed a parts explorer with 3.73 gears in it 91 eddy bower
