I went out to start my car and go to lunch but my truck won't stay on. It will crank but will not idle at all. I need help ASAP! I would like to be able to leave work in my own car! Please help!

Sounds like it could be the Throttle Position Sensor or TPS. Same thing happened w/ mine last summer, I could get it to turn over but it would not stay on. Luckily for me this happened when it was parked outside my mechanic's shop. If I remember correctly it was between 3-4 hundred to fix. Sorry about your situation, good luck!

Ted

Oh yeah,

Welcome to the forum.

It could also be the IAC (idle air control).

Just so we're clear, your Explorer is actually starting? But once it starts it dies? Just trying to be sure we don't have a simple battery/alternator problem here.
