Led on dash

Just came back to this site been a while, bought a 01 sporttrac doesnt have the owners manual or anything. It has a red led mounted to the right of the light switch. Does anyone know what it is for? Mine stays lit up? I looked at other sporttracs and saw the led on them to. thanks for the help.

It's a security LED for the alarm system

The reason I posted it again wasnt sure if it is found on all expl or just the sporttrac.
If its on both I thought someone who new my answer in that board might not go to the sporttrac area.

Should the led be on all the time?

it should only flash when the truck is off. I dont think it should be solid anythime.

Post a pic of the LED, my 01 trac did not have one, nor do's my 03. may be an aftermarket item.
