Reseting the ECU

1. How long do I need to disconect the battery, to reset the ECU?
2. Wich is the best way to store the new information?

5 minutes would be good. Just write the info that you have down and you will have a record..

Excuse me for my English, it's poor..
new info: I have a 2001 Mustang, and the owner book says that when you replace the battery, you must turn on engine, idle until normal temperature, turn on A/C for a while, and drive the car normaly for 10 miles to have the ECU re-programed.

I don t know if it's the same for the Explorer.

I would say yes to that . Just drive normally and all will reset...
