I put 265's on my 04 and I was wondering what tire pressure I should have in? Do I still follow the Explorers suggestion? the m as on the side of the tire says 44psi, where do I find the recommended for the tire?
They only put the MAX tire pressure for the tire on the sidewall, which is 44. You don't want to run this, it will wear the centers and ride like a hay wagon. Just because the tires are bigger does not mean you need more pressure, it really is a personal chioce between ride comfort, tire wear, and gas mileage. All these depend on the type of tire. I will run 36-38 in the hot summer, and move down to 32 in the winter.
