I was looking for some wheels and was told explorer wheels wont fit ST's,is this true? Which other ford model wheels fit?

Its probably cause of the brakes.. The rotors on the ST are bigger than the normal Explorer ones.. You'll need 16" or larger wheels with 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern with 4" backspacing. You can go up to 3.75 inch without issues.
 












The 98-current Ranger runs the same wheel types as the 95-01 Explorer, and 01-05 Sport Trac. The suspension, wheel/hub etc is the same pretty much. I swapped various different wheels between my 98 Ranger, 97 Explorer and 05 Sport Trac. However not all 15" wheels will clear the front brake calipers on some years of the Trac. Any factory ranger/explorer/trac wheels that are 16" will fit, given it falls under the years I mentioned.
