Theres a clear sticker type thing on at least 4 pieces of my trim, i've managed to slowly pick one of them off but this is taking too long. I want to finish painting my trim and get it back on my truck but I don't really want to paint over this sticker thing. does anyone know an easier way to remove it?

heat gun and a plastic scraper?

I'll try that I just didn't want to melt anything and wondered what other people have done about it

tired the heat gun and it made the sticker thing more mushy than anything

Try rubbing it out with diesel/kerosene if none available use finger nail polish remover. My wife and daughter hate me cuz I'm always stealing it for mechanic uses!

ammonia works well too, just dont mix it with anything

Don't use finger nail polish remover on anything plastic. Made that mistake once. :)

I managed to get it off with the least amount of tedious work by using a sander, but the area under it is now a lot rougher than the rest of the plastic. Hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to paint the bumpers and put the rest of the now black trim back on. :)
