Viper ACR X

The second batch of 25 was made making the total 50, number 13 is in the hands of my friend who will be racing it in the Viper Cup Series. He'll be racing August 14th and 15th at Hallett Motor Park in Jennings, OK. The races will be Versus at 3:30pm (EST time? i think i might be wrong) on Sept 5th and Sept 12th.

If anyone's got questions about these amazing machines it has been all I've been talking about since the car got here on Friday.

Wellllll back from Tulsa.

There was a lot going on, The Viper Cup race (all stock ACR-Xs), the Viper Racing League (4 or so Comp Coupes, an ACR, two Whelen C6Rs, and one flat black custom built looking Viper GTS), the street Vipers/Corvettes that were getting classroom instruction and then the group that didn't want any instruction consisted of a few Vipers, two Miatas, two Porches and a Corvette.

First day of racing my friend (AJ) overheated due to the temperature being 106 and not enough air going into the radiator. But the second day we had rerouted some of the airflow thanks to some of the engineers at Dodge and he was able to pull a 2nd place. Make sure to watch the races on Versus on Sept 5th and 12th both at at 3:30 Eastern.

Flipping through my subscribed threads looking for something, forgot i made this thread. I'll finish uploading all the Tulsa pics later (i need to resize EVERYTHING).

But for now back in October we took the Viper to Road America in Wisconsin

The fourth picture i snapped while he was doing about 150 past me on the back stretch. And for those that are familiar with the track, picture 3 is him coming out of the carousel, picture 2 is canada corner.

Apparently I'm terrible at remembering to update stuff when I say I will..

2011 - He ran the Viper cup and finished 2nd or 3rd overall (can't remember). Ended up hitting a wall at Road Atlanta

2012 - He decided to run in a more open class, USGT, couple beefed up Comp Coupe Vipers, some Corvettes etc.

Sadly this year no more racing, sponsors don't pay enough hahaha, car is getting rebuilt last I knew, no plans further than that.

Pics are kinda scattered from the years. Only went to the Road America and Hallet races (had school and or work the rest of them). And one open track day at Road America.

Have uploaded a good chunk of pics to my photobucket, will have to find my camera to get the rest.
