Hello. I have been having problems with my rear wiper. Sometimes it doesn't work and lately it hasn't been moving at all. The sprayer still works fine. I read this DIY
http://www.explorerforum.com/Singleton/web/pages/wiper.html

but I haven't been able to figure out what it is saying to take apart. Rear deck lid? pry bezel? I was messing with it the other day and I can't tell what I am supposed to take apart without any pics.

I have an 01 sport BTW

Just remove it. Shave the holes for a clean look. You won't even miss it! I don't.

The motor is located behind the plastic on the inside of the lift gate. It is a little frustrating but you can do it yourself. I will tell you that the contact brushes can be polished clean to make it work. Be sure to try the motor out before reassembling. If you need a new motor you can get them cheap from a pick and pull yard. If you remove the motor and arm and are waiting to find a good one, use a piece of cardboard with a tape that leaves no mess. Painters tape works good!
