Flip down monitor.

Ok so I ordered a flip down monitor and have some questions about installing it. I have looked around and seen how most do it. Mine has no sunroof but still has the drop in the ceiling and im wondering if i will be safe to screw it into that metal peice. its about a inch from the top of the car and would give it a good place to mount to?

I hope it is, because that is my plan for the Spring. I haven't pulled the headliner to look, yet.

comming from a professional installer. when you drop the liner you should see a couple cross braces. i would span a piece of 1/4" or 1/2" mdf between them and screw that wood to the brace. JUST MAKE SURE YOU USE SHORTER SCREWS THAT WILL NOT GO THROUGH. Put the liner back up and screw the screen to the wood with the liner sandwiched between the screen and wood.
