MFT version upgrade.

So I see that I have version 2.7 and I would like to upgrade to 2.8. Can this be done via Syncmyride or do I have to take it to the dealer?

Has to go to the dealer. They have to wipe your whole system when they do the upgrade to 2.8.

Each model has separate version numbers. Latest for Explorer is 2.8 and it needs to go to 3.0

I read on the forum six weeks which came from the person talking to customer service.

That was me. "Within six weeks" is what I was told last week. Take it for what it's worth. I'm sure it's coming, but I'd rather they get it right and make these cars work like they're supposed to, than rushing out another horribly buggy update. What I'm working with now (2.8) is intolerable.
