2001 Ford Ranger
Hi:
Just registered, and hope there is a answer to my question.
I and my wife live in the flatlands, and are Harley riders.
My 2001 Ford Ranger has a problem with blower motor speeds.:(
Dash switch works across all contacts on harness from switch to resistor block.
Resistance is working across all contacts on block.
Contacts were cleaned at resistor block and harness.
Blower motor only works on low or high, not on 2 or 3.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
If you ride, keep the shiny side up!
Thanks,
krangerc

blower motor

try the blower motor resistor.

replaced resistor

i replaced my blower motor resistor yesterday, 2 1/2 hours, located under the hood, passenger side, in the bottom of the blower housing. it is easier to work on if you remove the windshield wash/radiator overflow tank. the low speeds were gone, all that worked was high. every thing is fine now.

Thanks, and thank you Mr. Moderator.
The strange thing is when speed positions were changed at the switch, all resistance loops checked o.k.
