Hey again.

I may be getting ready for a trip, and am wondering how well a 33x12.50R15 will fit on a 94 x w/ the coil spring spacer mod and the Warrior shackle lift? I also installed a 3 inch bodylift. Does anyone have any pictures?

I also want to mount these tires on the stock wheels. Has anyone seen this done? Seems like they might bulge alittle, but that will let me air down pretty low w/o beadlocks. Would like to see some pics of this also if anyone has them.

Thanks guys.

Some have used the stock 7" wheel with a 12.5" tire, but I don't think it is safe.

I am curious also. The 94 is getting 33x12.5. I have a 33x12.5 on 10" wheel, and one on an 8" wheel, I can test fit on the 94. This rig has the same set up as yours. I have a feeling I am going to have to trim a bit up front on the fender, behind the tire. Not so sure about the EB fenders.

My floor jack is currently holding my engine up for a trans swap I am in the middle of. If that gets finished today or tomorrow, I will try to get a pic of the 33" on the 94.

33x12.50 will mount on the stock 15x7 wheels, but it is not safe.
They will also rub like crazy without wheel spacers as well.

If you want to use 33x12.50 tires, get some 15x8 or 15x10 steel wheels.

If you want to use the stock wheels and still mount 33's, get 33x10.50 tires.

Anyone else have an opinion? Thanks for taking the time to see how they fit on your truck. We have a J**p here in the shop w/ 33x12.50s on it, if he leaves it overnight I will try them out on my rig. Will post pics if it works out. Thanks again.

I'll say the same thing as everyone else. 12.50's on stock rims is not safe. With that lift you'll fit 33's but on the stock rims they will rub like crazy inside. Sway bar, radius arm will be in the way. They will probably also rub on the fender.

You need wider rims with more offset for 33x12.50's.

Has anyone heard of having the factory aluminum wheels modified to fit the 33s? Have them widened and add a spacer to get the right offset?

new steel wheels are cheaper than the machine work and welding required to modify the stock wheels

True, but i prefer the look of my original wheels

Modifying the stock wheels would be a seriously costly venture. Not to many places would like to take on that liability... probably be cheaper to order a nice set of rims. There are TONS of designs out there... Gotta be one you like better than stock.

Hey Jon

Do they make a 33x11.50r15?

Hmm, but that tire looks more than it moves.

And the 33x10.50 looks stupid...really narrow.

They dont make the tire I want to run in anything but 33x12.50 and 31x10.50 in a 15.

I'm gonna research the rim thing, see if I can find a company to widen my wheels and reset the offset.

...There is always the 32x11.50x15's, BFG carry's them...:dunno:

...I've run those on my stock deerhooves for a few years on my Ranger with 4.10 gears...Your truck can quickly turn into a dog if you have stock tires and gears then throw on 33's..:(

Or you could get set of the 16" 5 spoke sport trac wheels and mount a 285-75-16 which is 33" x 11.25"

like I used to have on the mounty--

That will give a tight hub fit, and be the correct offset.

I have 4.10 gears, so shouldn't hurt too bad. I also hate BFGs. Not an option.

But those Sporttrac wheels are starting to grow on me....

Pics of 33"x12.5" on 15"x8" & 15"x10" as promised.

There is less than 2" of space between the fender trim and the tire. Tires pointing straight.

This is what happens with no trimming done and a 15x10x3.5" BS with a 12.5" tire.

I had to jack up the rig from the side, remove the sway bar to let the suspension droop as far as it would to remove the tire from it being stuck in that position. :)

For anyone who is interested I am running Cooper ST/T 33x12.50R15s on the stock aluminum rims with the F-150 coil spacers / Warrior shackles and a 3 inch body lift. They do rub just a little on the front swaybar at full lock, but clear the fenders at full extension / compression. They also rub inside the body on the rear. I'm not sure what makes them unsafe, I've aired them down to 12 psi and wheeled the heck out of them. Overall, I'm pleased with them. Hope this inlightens anyone thinking about this mod.

We ran 33x12.50/ on 15x7 rims for many miles. Id say > 100k miles. We never blew a bead and would air down to the low teans for most wheeling. We also dont run sway bars and the X isnt exactly a dd.
