I just bought a 93 Eddie Bauer 4x4 auto and the 4x4 switch on the dash does not light up. I do not hear any clicking noise or anything. I tested the module in the rear and the red LED flashed 4 times which means it is good. The guy I bought it from said it was his late uncles and he put a new computer in it before he passed. He didn't think they hooked up the 4x4 switch when they had the new computer installed . Where does the 4x4 dash switch go to so I can check it or does it go into the module? I'm gonna check the shift motor next. I've been doing alot of searching for this problem and it may be the shift motor but I want to check to switch out first. It out of alignment and it has auto lock hubs could that have anything to do with it. My friend has the same problem with his 92 and it was working fine last time he used now it aint workin either. It has the same symptons like mine with no lights on 4x4 switch.
