Rebuilding M5OD - What bearings to replace?

I'm rebuilding my M5OD trans, the "bearing kit" I got for the rebuild only includes the case bearings, not the needle bearings - the company I bought it from, Allstate gear, said the needle bearings are typically not replaced during a rebuild. Thoughts?

If you look at my rebuild thread the needle bearings caused my tranny to fail. There's no way I wouldn't replace them.

I did read your thread but asked the question because the parts houses don't supply kits with the needle bearings, leading me to believe they don't usually fail.

However, I went ahead and purchased all of the bearings, would hate to have to do this job a second time.
