I have a 4dr 96 XLT with JBL & CD (Center arm rest CD Pack Changer). (rear amp and antenna wire)
I just got this pioneer headunit - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0091UX3QI/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
I got this kit so that I could integrate it with the factory subwoofer so I can avoid having to rip my truck apart. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12671_Metra-70-5603.html
The green connector will NOT connect to the black square connector.
So I got the huge universal ford scosche kit from Walmart which also has the JBL after market wiring for the previous generation as well- DOESNT FIT http://www.walmart.com/ip/Scosche-88-97-FORD-Car-Stereo-Connector/870826
The connector is the SAME and won't connect.
I DO NOT want to run bypass cables because I want to just replace my entire factory amp enclosure with a direct bolt in soon. (irrelevant)
Basically, this doesn't make any freaking sense. I buy the correct connectors to wire this up and the connectors are wrong? What am I missing?
See here. Black wire is stock wiring. Green is the aftermarket kit. Even if I were to mod the stock connector to make it fit, the pins are in the wrong configuration.
I have looked at the numerous threads here and I have been unable to find the help I need to figure out WTF is going on.
Someone PLEASE HELP ME before I decide to go on a shooting rampage and murder everyone at Meta & Scosche & possibly Ford. ALL I WANT IS THE HEAD UNIT TO WORK WITH THE RADIO AND MY EFFING STREAMING BLUETOOTH.
