MFT/Applink and the 2013 Ford Explorer

Does anyone have an idea when or if Ford will be adding the Applink system to MFT for the Explorer? I can't believe that this is not already included on the MFT since it is such an "advanced" system.

Great question . From what i have read , it's up to Apple to respond to Ford's
request for the tech. It seems Ford was out of the loop when Apple went to
OS6, so , like the cell phone wars,corporate ego is to blame. Just google the words "apple and ford " and see the search results.

Not true, it doesn't have anything to do with Apple. I currently have Applink working in my 2012 Mustang and 2012 F150 with my iPhone 5.

If you had searched 'applink' in the 2011-2013 Explorer Discussion Forum you would have found previous threads on the issue.

The bottom line is that Applink is not currently available for the Explorer but Ford is reportedly working on it.
