Why not buy new leaf springs to fix sagging rear end?

i have a 01 mountaineer, 130,000miles, and had "the sag" inch and a half
from the front.....

double add a leaf and shackles gave me 3 3/4 inches to 4 inches in
the rear, and a nice rake to the truck.....35 bucks for the short leaf
65 bucks for the long leaf, and 75 bucks for the shackles...

well worth the money.....i had the springs on my xterra "re-arched"
and it lasted 6months......until i put a long leaf from a 2500 dodge duelly.
and jacked that ***** up another inch and a half MORE than the "re-arch".

2 years later it was still an inch more than the re-arch....

imo......you cant beat the add a leaf.....yea the ride stiffens a bit...but its
NOT THAT BAD.....alot of guys like to exaggerate this....i LOVE the way my
truck drive and handles.....

:salute:
