Yeah I was thinking the same. I thought the edge would look cool but it just looks weird. I'll move it to the middle but see if toward the bottom looks okay. Next is to cover the armrest and to add more mesh to the front. I'm hoping to fill the bottom hole and the grills with the fog lights.

for the rear armrest/console do the vents work? :D

was literally just going to ask that...i was thinking its possible if you tap into the air duct going to the 2nd row air vents, but their flow is low enough as it is and splitting it again would be pointless. Great idea though! i'd totally do the same if i didnt utilize the backseat all the time.

I though about making it usable, then also thought about cutting all the ducting out and making it into a secret compartment. I ended up just leaving it all in there. So if the second row was to make the air flow toward the feet off the first console it would flow through the second console. as wbrudi said the flow off the first was always week to begin with. I'll test it out later if I take the car out.

Edit:

Alright so as you can see the large open section under the square tray thing. This ends up letting out most of the air being sent through the back console. I'm sure a little is making it through the far back. I couldn't feel it with my hand but, eh not much of a concern. At least now I have another place to put crap. and I love that I have something to make my x different.

Hello! New-ish member to this forum and finally got some upgrades on my mountaineer. Not the best picture, my apologies. Soft 8's soon to be mounted once I get tires and more mods to come!

I always thoroughly enjoy seeing mountaineers with bull-bars (or the far more elusive full brush guard). Thanks for putting one on!
