I didn't know there was a diesel Escort, atleast not in America
Which engine does it have?

I know where two diesel escorts that can be bought, that ranger is awesome!

It had a 2.0L Mazda diesel engine in it, the same engine is used in forklifts. I heard that Ford lost money on everyone of these cars sold but they increased their corporate average fuel economy enough so they could sell more of their larger Lincolns and such which were providing ample profits.

That's interesting. I can't believe they put those in forklifts. The forklifts at my work have a small Nissan motor, carbed and runnin on propane. Slow and don't always wanna start :D
I wonder how much ford lost on each one? And why they didn't push it harder instead of the gas motors

Emissions, those rangers are nice for a state like mine, register it and then use the chassis under a newer body with whatever motor you want, its about the only way to have a diesel in a RBV and pass inspection here,
