Going to larger wheels

I have a 2000 Explorer Sport with 15" wheels. I would like to go to a larger Explorer wheel (17"-18"). Are there any concerns about offset, etc that will keep them from fitting?

The larger wheels from later generation Explorers have too much positive offset, you would need to use wheels spacers or it would look funny in my opinion.
