install of a mini spool

can anybody tell me what all is needed to instal a mini spool in my 92 explorer sport and how to install it any help would be greatly appreciated

Depending on how mechanically inclined you are, it's not bad. If I recall, you just pull out the c-clips, slide out the shafts, remove the spider & side gears & replace with the mini spool. I ran one in my 8.8 & would say I'm not too much of a mechanic, but certainly up for the do it yourself task.

No, you will need to put the "c" clips back in.

Your not planning on putting a spool in the front axle are you?

Good.

You do NOT want to spool a steer axle.

The mini spool will have the slots for the c-clips's, some have a piece (block) that has to be removed and then reinstalled after the clips are in.

Not if you plan on driving regularly on paved road.
