mountaineer chop top.

Damn - when I opened this thread and saw you relocated the hatch all the way forward to just behind the front doors I gritted my teeth a little bit. I thought it would be pretty hard to get the truck to look clean with the remnants of the rear doors. Then I saw the next few pictures where you filled in those body lines and my initial "Uh oh" turned into a "Hell yeah!" Great looking and unique build!

Actually certain years did have factory headers and some cast manifolds.

Actually, if you want to call that manifold a "header" you just go right ahead. But it isn't

Call it what you want...Note they are a ****ty design.
But none the less NOT a cast manifold....compare it to the BBK shorty headers for a Mustang.....That's a header with ****ty performance, but still a header.
We will call it a fabricated MANIFOLD for sake of argument!

Fabricated Tubing= Header......PERIOD
Cast Iron= MANIFOLD

This is a 1998 5.0 Explorer exhaust manifold!!!!

Just bustin your ball brother...

There is a difference tho`Admit that much.

Well, that belly part to the left in my picture is cast, lol

I think that is why they crack, tubing welded to cast-

Agreed!
More fused than welded.
They are so kinked and crimped Id rather have the casted manifolds.

Day star urethane body mounts and pa883 lift shackles and keys.

Looks mighty fine !

Little update.
