Removing sun visor?

Want to remove the drive side sun visor to have the home link installed. Looks simple, a round piece of plastic that I would assume is covering the screws that hold the rod in place. That roundish piece of plastic has a split and I assume will just pop off. But I pried a little on it and it did not want to seem to pop off. So before I pry hard on it I would like to ask the best way to get that cover off.
