I've always purchased V6 cars thinking they are more fuel economical than their V8 counterparts. I am looking to replace my V6 2000 Ex Limited and in looking around I've seen a few articles that show a similar fuel consumption between a V6 Ex and a V8 Ex.

For example a 2007 V6 is listed with 14/20 MPG vs a 2007 V8 listed with a 13/20 MPG. Is that correct?

If there is no big difference in fuel economy between a V6 and a V8, then I am starting to think that a V8 may be a better buy. I tow a couple of motorcycles several hundred miles about 4-6 times a year. With my V6 as long as I do not start riding hills I have no problems.

I am getting about 20 MPG right now with my 2000 V6 Ex.
