My name is Chris and I'm from Hawaii. Recently brought this cheap lifted 1991 ford explorer, she was sitting on my friend shop for 5 years everything run great and only couple of parts needed to get repair.




Edit: 500k Miles??? right these trucks don't have a 6 digit odometer might have 150k/250k/350k Miles??? I don't know.

do rust issues cause a problem there with so much salt water around you?
that 1st gen doesn't look rusty from your pic.

There is a rust issue here most of the time being next to the ocean. And there is rust on the roof also little bit on the hood.

Being the OHV, I wouldn't be surprised if it was still engine #1

I'm guessing its a stock engine with a 5 speed manual trans. And My speedometer its off by 10 miles.

I don't doubt that a 4.0 OHV could go for 500,000, as mine has 350,000, but how sure are you on that mileage? I think that year doesn't have the six digit odometer, and island vehicles tend to be low miles...was this a mainland truck?
