front wheel bearing ??

I have an 02 4 Dr exp. I need to replace the front driver side wheel bearing. I can get a bearing for an 02 sport but the parts # is different. What is the difference between the 2 Dr and 4 Dr bearing?

A lot. The 2Dr sport is still based on the previous explorer platform from 95-01. They carried that frame and suspension over in the 2dr sport version while the 4dr was put onto a different platform. You definitely need to buy the 4dr parts.

There is a lot riding on the bearings, don't skimp and go cheap with parts you have or can get for a certain thing. Go with the correct part(s) the first time so you don't have to do it again later. Check rock auto for a good choice of parts.

The 02 requires changing the entire hub, not just the bearing.

It's a simple job.
