So, after 131,000 miles, I had the front struts replaced today. Rears were done a couple months ago. I am dollar-cost-averaging some of these repairs.:)

Here's the breakdown:

Shock Absorber Assy. SPO BB5Z 18124 B $157.66
Shock Absorber Assy. SPO BB5Z 18124 D $157.66
Labor 2.5 Tech Units $290.00

Total was $605.32

Also elected to have a 4-wheel alignment done for $109.95. Haven't had one done for about 2 years.

As you motor on, we're soon going to have to start a new thread just for all your parts replacements Bill. :D

So now having new front/rear shocks is the truck riding a lot better?

i just had to replace my front control arms and struts on my '11 Explorer at 85k miles because of wear causing my steering to jerk hard when accelerating. Is this normal?
