2015 Ford Explorer Sport pricing confusion, unhaggle is full of sh*t?

My MSRP was $52,248 on the 15 Sport. After a few hours of back and forth my final was $46,759. Walking in off the street.

I bought my 2015 Limited 3 weeks ago. MSRP was $42,500 and got it for $$35,990. Also walking in off the street.

Yes I had a trade in. Settled on the price of the Ex Limited first. Then negotiated price on my trade in. I knew what my trade in was worth and what I wanted for it. Got what I wanted for the trade in. Actually that was the longest part of the deal. The dealer started $2,000 under what it was worth. I didn't budge.
