2nd row bucket seats w/ console question

I've got a 2016 with rear bucket seats without the center console.. I don't like there being a hole or gap in the center when I have all the seats folded down (easy for my dog to fall in), also I don't like having the open space there when I have just the 3rd row seat folded down (easy for things stored in the rear to slide through to the 2nd row area... Would having the console fix these issues, and when I have all the seats down is it almost flush or does it stick out above the folded down seats?

Thanks, I have not seen pictures with the rear console with all the seats down.. If someone has one please post.

One of the threads has a link to an adobe pdf file that shows how to install. Rather simple to do. I have a console for my 16 sport on order, but there is a delay on the 16 sports of a few weeks right now.

My factory installed 2nd row console opens up so that the lid lays flat and you do not have a raised bump between the folded down seats.
