plastic type tube near bend door??

i was changing my blend door motor and to the left of it a small whir tube fell out ..it has a rubber cap on one end and holes on the 2 other ends and looked like it connects to the black vents but how and which way the rubber cap up or down...

Makes me think that the OP didn't have the dual mode option on his HVAC system.

Sorry, early in the AM and I wasn't typing clearly yet. Does your system have a dual mode? If not then it looks to be and end cap for some plumbing that your vehicle didn't need installed. If you turn the blower on do you feel air coming from areas that you shouldn't? Also, yes I am sure that you need it.
