Hey all, I'm having some HVAC issues and I'm not quite sure what it is.
My 1999 has the manual HVAC controls and air has stopped blowing out of the vents on the dash and floor. The Merc will get hot inside after awhile and the blower motor works well. I noticed heat leaks out of the defroster when everything is off.
Is this a bad blend door? I haven't tested AC but turning the knob to cool will cool the car. I thought the blend door was temperature related and not directing the airflow.
I suspect that I broke a few vaccuum lines when installing my intake manifold and that is my issue. I used RTV and vaccuum hose to try to rig some of the small diameter plastic tubing I snapped under the hood.
