First one, 02 XLT 4.0 had 235k - developed a knock after driving through snowbanks

Current, 02 Limited 4.6 has 128k - needs a valve job, sitting in my garage right now

138,390
2005 xlt 4.0

250,400 on my 2002 XLS. Transmission was rebuilt at 140,000, but the engine is the original.

Hopefully us 2002 and early 2003 (mine 2003 was built in 2002) got the good engines. It's looking that way.

Mountaineer, but it's got 142,x... Got it was 99k and getting ready for timing chains.

126,789 As she sit's! Also my hood after a long awaited wax/polish!

2004 4.0 liter. 111,000 miles.
I spoke with a guy a few weeks ago who had an 2003 4.0 liter with 225,000 miles on it and still was going strong. My fingers are crossed!

2003 4.6 4x4 with 150k, son is driving it now as "his" car

My current 2003 XLT just turned over 170,000 miles. I bought it back in late December with 167,500 on the clock.

My previous 2003 XLT had 334,000 miles on it when it was killed by a deer. I bought that with 320K on it, put the extra 14K on it in 13 months, and then hit a deer while going 50 mph. Insurance totaled it...that was a (mostly) tough truck...would've had it forever if it weren't for that darn deer.

101,350 on my 2005 xlt 4.0

But now little things are going wrong. Yesterday I replaced the thermostat housing and now I need to replace the rear blend door assembly to stop the clicking sound. I also think I may have a wheel bearing starting to go so I will get to that when I have time and money for it. And I am currently dealing with the liftgate ajar sensor issue.

However I love the car!

218,000 miles on my 2005, transmission rebuilt at 201k.

2003 XLT 4.0 K

201,5XX as of lunch...

Rebuilt transmission at 126K
Pulled engine for timing chain/tensioners/etc at 131K
Pulled dash for heater core at 194K

Has some noisy lifters, leaks a little oil, and the white paint is coming off the hood, hatch at top, on the channels up top, and has the infamous butt crack... but other that that, I drive it daily!

223,000 on my '03 4.6.
Replaced timing chains around 190-200k.
Tranny feels strong, never serviced as far as i know.
Her achilles heel is the rocker panel rot.
With a new car on the way it means she has to go though. Just wrote 'For Sale' on the windows today.

2003 XLT. 4.6
136, 000 miles.
Servo bore kit installed
A few hubs and an intake manifold due to coolant leak.
Perfect body- no dings or dents.

78k and change, don't plan on getting another for at least 8 years

79,500. bought with 63K in Florida. switched all fluids to synthetic. All 4 front ball joints. Driver side control arm bushing. Brown Wire Mod. Trans fluid and filter service. Switch out the green coolant for the Gold. Driver side rear CV axle. Flushed the brake system. (It was green. eww!) Slowly upgrading the main ground and positive wires. Sprayed the underside with old motor oil. ZERO rust after two winters :D

Have to look at my front calipers. My outside pads have a lot of life left. Inside pads only have about 4 or 5mm. :O Replaced the pads at 63K with Wagner Ceramic Thermo Quites (I now realize they suck compared to Akebono ceramic pads)
