3RD Row Power Fold Switch

Which year did they add the illuminated switch for the third row power fold, and if I buy one for a later year will it work in my 2012 Limited?

There is one on eBay from a 2014 Explorer that looks like the switches are recessed too, which I like.

My information tells me the 2013 year model forward has the LEDs for illumination. The thing that may be different is the pin arraignment inside the switch itself ie. will it work with the current 2012 model? Without the circuitry to the switch necc to illuminate the new switch LEDs you will only achieve a switch that has the potential but not the ability to light up. Sorry....

That seems logical. Dunno if it's worth the $$$ to test it out.

I can 99% guarantee it will not work as you hope it will. It is not a plug and play situation.
