Steer angle sensor issues? After remote start install.

Hello installed remote start on 2008 ford explorer and when hooking up the starter wire (blue with white stripe) i found there were 4 wires that are that color used test light to find out what one is for the starter. After everything was hooked up and tested remote start and everything works fine but now the stability light and beeper go off with a code C1277 i do see that a few of the other blue with white stripe wires go to the steer angle sensor could i have damaged something when the test light was hooked up or is there a way to reset it without Going to the dealer my generic scanner wont clear the codes.

found this halfway down the page: disconnect battery and press horn to completely drain the capacitor...of course you lose all the other memory settings too.
