YES i did research before posting lol
I'm looking to upgrade my alternator due to a strain on my electrical system from accessories. I have a big 3 upgrade already as well as an Yellowtop.
I've seen mixed reviews of HO alts on explorers. I believe i would be going with the 220 amp from www.powerbastards.com as its plug and play, all brand new (no cores), comes with a 1 year warranty and has a good idle output.
MY question is, will I need to re flash my PCM? I've read that HO alts throw off a set of dash lights akin to Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation.
any experiences will be helpful!
