The liftgate in my 06 has been squeaking for years, I usually just turn up the radio and it's also drowned out by highway noise.
But at slower speeds on bumpy side streets it's pretty annoying if I am wanting quiet time or having a conversation with a passenger.
I removed the handle from the inside trim and pried the interior trim panel partially loose. There are metal snap clips that hold the trim panel to the door frame and I think these are causing the squeak. For now I just sprayed the ones I could see with white grease (has a tube for greater reach) and that seems to have quieted the squeak, at least temporarily.
Has anyone else noticed this type of noise and have ideas to get rid of it?
Thanks!
