Any ODB computer software that can do this? My '97 with 4R70W.

I have ScanXL Pro + Ford Enhanced.
Trans control indicator light status reports On and transmission control indicator light malfunction reports Fault Detected.
It reports No Fault Detected for the shift solenoids or TCC.

Unfortunately, it's not reporting the actual code when I view DTCs.

Also tried FORscan, since it was a freebie, but it displays the same info. Fault, but won't report the code.

I imagine I would have found this sooner if my O/D Off bulb wasn't dead.
It's experiencing an occasional delayed 1-2 shift.
Almost seems like RPMs increase with no increase in speed.
Fluid is clean. Filter+fluid last week and no change.
Torque converter?

Or do those PIDS refer directly to the lightbulb just working?

so ford.trans.tcil Trans Control Indicator Light is literally saying whether the O/D Off light is on or off.
ford.trans.tcil_f Trans Control indicator light malfunction is literally saying whether or not the lightbulb is functioning. Fault Detected was because the bulb was dead.
