I had a reputable air conditioner shop replace my compressor and just about everything else a/c related a few years ago.

The compressor just failed.

The same shop wants to replace everything again, and use the same brand compressor. It is a Global.

They swear by them and claim that they have very few failures.

Does anyone here have any advice ?

Thanks.

I don't know that any particular compressor is any better than another, but typically the reason that replacement compressors fail is that unless EVERYTHING in the system is replaced, trash from the original failure remains in the system, even after flushing, and ruins the replacement compressor. Did the shop that installed the replacement add an in-line filter to the low pressure side (before the compressor) of the A/C system? It's recommended.
